THE KELLY KETTLE
The Kelly is a remarkable stove and one that deserves some special attention. I've owned mine now for nearly one year and it's seen action in all 4 seasons, rain and wind. All of its use has been for backpacking purposes as opposed to car camping, so this review is geared towards backpacking performance. Because the Kelly operates on whatever fuel you have at your disposal, its performance relies upon the region you plan on using it.
WEIGHT: The smallest Kelly is around 1.5 pounds. This is heavy for backpacking. But if you take into consideration that most stoves require either a full canister or a backup canister of fuel, that 1.5 pounds isn't so bad. When compared to smaller wood burning stoves or alcohol stoves, the Kelly is heavier, but it is also more reliable.
PERFORMANCE: The Kelly Kettle's makers really push the whole burning pinecone thing, but in New England, most of the pinecones you find are soaking wet and useless...

Think how much better things are if you can easily heat water. Think it much trouble it is to make hot water with a campfire. With one of these handy you dont even have to build a campfire just about anything small and flammable is enough and dont take all that long.
