Most Underlined Buyer Review : Solar Day Pack
After running out of GPS battery on a long hike, I decided to look into a solar pack to recharge my electronic devices. This works, but only at a limited level. It seems a bit pricy for the amount of energy storage. It works to put a limited charge into the GPS and I can attach a USB recharger and then partly recharge my iPhone too.
It has a little 1.5 x 3" battery that stores the energy collected by the small solar panel. That battery fits in a small pocket inside the compartment under the solar panel. There aren't any openings for cords so you can leave devices attached while you hike without leaving the zipper partly open, but the pack has plenty of storage inside - it could use a couple larger outside pockets for water/device storage.
Exactly what Other Purchaser say?
A great gift for a tech
The bag came excellently packaged and worked perfectly right out of the box. It has saved me many times out in the field when my smartphone was nearly dead, and has storage in all the right places. The customer service is amazing, and very helpful. I won't leave the house without this bag!
For anyone curious - yes, it comes with a tip for iPhones and a MicroUSB tip for most Android phones.
