Most Underlined Buyer Review : What a disaster ...
Have had the amigo for some time now, and it is as good as a conversation piece, to hang on the wall, or torture my friends as a joke when we're bored.
I bought this with high hopes after reading a few reviews. I bought a Washburn Rover at the same time and have Amazon reviewed that too.

Pros:
It looks great for a small, travel guitar. The tear-drop design is a winner to hold as well.
The Amigo has remarkable volume (for its size) compared to Washburn Rover.

Cons:
The sound is horrible. Now in fairness, maybe it is my one or the batch (28 June 2007), but the neck is out, it never stays in tune, and the wood it is made from is cheap and nasty. The fret board I doubt is rosewood and looks like its been painted the same colour, except for where it has chipped away.

A Great Little Guitar!
I've been using this guitar for three years, and think it is a great little instrument. I use it for music therapy sessions with young kids, and it's the perfect size to let me move around the room. As another reviewer stated, I also swapped out the strings for nylon classical ones (which are still metal on the three lower sounding strings), and it has a decent enough sound. Does it sound as good as a much more expensive guitar? No, of course not, but it is good enough, and suits my purposes well.

I use the Levy's Leathers MS60JR-BRG 2.5-Inch Tapered Suede-Leather Youth's Guitar Strap, Burgundy and secure it to the neck of the guitar using the...

Wont stay in tune.
I even tried to put really nice strings on it and adjust the saddle. Either way it wont stay in tune and is not even worth playing. Id love my money back!
