A Secure Fit

The Summit Backpack incorporates EzyDog's award-winning Chest Plate Harness as an anchor point for the saddle bags. The Chest Plate Harness is made of EVA, a formable material, which forms to the dog's chest for a secure and custom fit. The Chest Plate functions to keep the saddle bags securely in place.

Comfort

The breathable mesh upper portion of the Summit conforms to your pup's back and allows air to flow through it so that your pup doesn't get overheated. The easy to use two buckle system makes fitting the pack a breeze, and the padding under the buckles keeps your pup comfy.

Control and Ease

The backpack features a built-in Padded Carry Handle for quick control while on your pup or for easy transport when not in use. Attach a leash to the D-ring to walk your dog or go off-leash by conveniently attaching the leash to the Leash Caddy, allowing your pup to carry their own leash.

Technical Safety

The main compartments feature Waterproof Zippers and Coated Ripstop Material to keep the items that are being stowed safe and dry. Reflective Trim is incorporated for visibility in low light situations.

Convenience

The Quick Release Front Messenger Style Panel offers easy access to items you need ready access to, such as treats and pick up bags. Your pup can be easily identified with the ID Sleeve that is located in the easy access pouches.

Most Underlined Buyer Review : Really impressed
This pack is well made, has lots of areas to adjust and is better than I expected. The zippers are great and there are 3 on each bag for easy access and convenience. Love the handle on top and the leash holder. They thought of everything. It's nice looking and ergonomic - I mean not like a bulky baggy donkey pack like so many dog backpacks. I didn't want something too big and bulky and this fits the bill. Nice chest pad. I may add another strap to the underbelly though as I'm wondering if it will do a little shifting side to side (easy to do with needle and thread or fabric glue - straps and the clips are super cheap at Joanns). Haven't tried it yet outside of walking around in yard. My dog adjusted fast, but he's used to a halter when we hike. He's an Old English Sheepdog, very lanky, and tall, about 100 lbs., chest 32.5, and a large was generous. I usually can't find his size at all (he's too big). But I tightened the straps to their lowest which is nice, because when his...

What Various other Purchaser state?
Works great for Frisbee golf
It is a pretty nice back pack, it fits about eight Frisbee golf discs quite well and also a golden retriever tool. My dog doesn't seem to be affected by it to much either, he can run with it comfortably when it is full of gear. The back pack seems to be fairly tough and durable too, overall I have no regrets with my purchase and I am glad I got one.

Great backpack for our 47 lb puppy
I did quite a bit of research of different packs. I was looking for quality, price and a pack that looked like was supported mostly by the dogs shoulders, not his back. I narrowed my choices down to 2 possibilities. This backpack and Cesar Milan's (which you can't purchase here, you have to go to his website).

I ended up purchasing this one. The main reasons were that this pack looked like it could hold more, it had more pockets and there were a bunch of positive reviews. The price was essentially the same between the two packs so that didn't count into the desision. You don't have the review resource on Cesar's website so I felt it was riskier purchasing his since I couldn't read any reviews. I did like how Cesar's pack had the back strap which is missing from this pack. His pack also includes a bag hole to pull doggy bags from - though I can imagine that a plastic bag sticking out would quickly get torn or ripped up if you're taking your dog hiking through...
